Sidewalk Vendor Buffer Map Series

City of North Las Vegas

This was a one-off exhibit I made for the planning department. They were rewriting the city code for where sidewalk vendors couldn’t set up shop. The different buffer zones were either 150ft, 500ft, or 1500ft., depending on the surrounding buildings or areas.

I’m proud of these maps because of the circumstances around them. I was given a strict deadline, but pulled through after a combination of patience, time management, and strong communication with the department. They used these maps in a meeting with the public and worked with key figures in the community to rewrite the code.

The Monday after the meeting, the planning department brought me donuts as a thank you for my hard work and dedication!
